Voolkan is committed to ensuring the safety and security of the private information of our users. We have created this privacy policy to demonstrate this firm commitment, and to define how information is collected and used at Voolkan. This policy applies to data collected through web pages located on the Voolkan website, and does not apply to information we collect by any other means. Voolkan may contain links to other websites over which we exercise no control, and for this reason we are not responsible for the privacy policies or practices of any other website. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of those websites to determine how they collect, use and disburse your personal information. The Voolkan privacy policy may be updated from time to time. Significant changes will be noted on the Voolkan website. Collection and Use of Personal Information
You can access and view most content on our site without revealing any personal information. However, certain features of the Voolkan website may require submitting personal or otherwise potentially sensitive information to our site or third parties.

Whenever you visit the Voolkan website, we may automatically collect anonymous information, such as your IP address, page(s) accessed, timestamp information, etc., within access and error logs. This is purely for server maintenance and statistical purposes, and allows us to fix website errors and better serve all of our users. These logs will be stored indefinitely. We may also collect personal information submitted with feedback.

When you become a registered user, we collect your email address, along with other membership information, for purposes of logging in to Voolkan, sending confirmation emails, authenticating user accounts, and providing other communications related to Voolkan services. Any personal data collected by Voolkan will be used to keep the site running efficiently and provide you with customized information on job listings that may be of interest to you. We may also gather general information (such as categories visited, jobs applied to, etc.) in order to make job prospect recommendations that may interest you. Similar, anonymous information may also be collected by Voolkan for use as statistical information by registered businesses in order to track the popularity of their listings.

Should you desire to keep certain information private, we will not sell or distribute your personal information to unauthorized third parties, nor will our advertisers have access to your personal information, without your express consent.

For job listings, we collect contact information, such as names, phone numbers, and addresses for billing and authentication purposes. Additionally, all listings stored in our database may be archived indefinitely at Voolkan or elsewhere, even after expiring.

Please be aware that any personal information you voluntarily display or distribute through Voolkan (including any information within your resume) may be collected and used by the third party in ways that conflict with this privacy policy. Voolkan is not responsible for the use of your personal information by others. Do not submit any information you wish to keep private.

Registered users may update or adjust their account information in any way at any time.

We make every effort to ensure all data submitted to Voolkan is secure and inaccessible to the public, but cannot guarantee total security.

Cookies

Disclosure of Information to Third Parties
Voolkan does not store credit card information. Credit card transactions are authenticated and encrypted using a Secure Socket Layer (SSL) session.

Voolkan, and certain Voolkan users, may provide links to third party websites which may have their own privacy policies. Voolkan does not have any control over, and is not responsible for, the privacy policies of any other website. We recommend all users read the privacy policy of every website visited.

In order to protect the rights, property, and safety of its users, Voolkan may disclose user information to government entities or others if legally required to do so, in good faith that such action is reasonably necessary to conform to legal requirements, protect the rights or property, prevent crime, or protect the safety of users or the public.

Voolkan discloses information to third parties only if you consent to such disclosure. For example, we use data we have collected from you to determine whether you may be interested in the opportunities, products or services of certain third parties, should you indicate that you would like to receive such information from them.

Voolkan may disclose information to certain third parties to perform functions on our behalf, such as processing credit card payments and providing customer service, for example. These individuals and companies will have access to your personal information in order to perform their specific functions, but may not share your information with any other third party without your consent.

Voolkan does not store any critical information, such as user or business addresses or credit card information, but as Voolkan is a job site, your personal information may be accessed by any employers, recruiters, hiring managers, headhunters, human resource professionals, and applicants that you choose to make your information available to (through applying to and posting job listings, for example), as well as law enforcement and national security agencies as required. Voolkan cannot guarantee that other parties will not access its database, and is not responsible for the use made of information by third parties who access such information while it is in our database. Resumes voluntarily submitted to employers and other agencies are not stored on Voolkan’s servers, and as such, Voolkan is not responsible for the retention, use or privacy of resumes by any third parties.

Notice Regarding Children
Voolkan is not intended for use by children under 13. Voolkan does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 years of age.

Notification of Changes to Privacy Policy
Voolkan will post a notice on the Voolkan website in cases of materially significant changes to this privacy policy, so that you will always be informed of what information we are gathering, and to whom and how we will be disclosing that information.
