1. Individuals:
1a. How do I register for an individual account?

To register for a business account, click on "Register" on the left or bottom of the screen. Select "individual" as your account type (to apply to jobs), then fill out the corresponding form and click "submit." Your account should now be active!

1b. How do I search for jobs?
To find a job in your area, click on your state from the main page. On your state’s page, click on your region (or, if your region is not listed, the next-closest one available). From this page, all the jobs posted in your area will be listed in order of when they were listed. Additionally, you can use the "Job Search" box beneath the left-hand navigation column. Simply type in whatever keywords you're looking for and click "search" to find relevant, open listings. Click any job title for more information or to apply (if you’re a registered user)!

1c. How do I apply for a job?
After finding a job that interests you, read through the description fully. If you feel you’re qualified, scroll down to the bottom of the description and click the link that reads "Apply to This Job." From here, follow the directions on the application page to submit your information automatically to the employer!

1d. How can I tell what jobs I’ve applied to?
Voolkan keeps track of your most-recently applied-to jobs for your own records and to help make better job suggestions for you. To view these at any time, log in to Voolkan and click on "My Account" at the left or bottom of the page (or "control panel" at the upper right). From your control panel, your last few job applications, with links to the job listing, will be displayed (if the job listing still exists).

1e. How do I see my job recommendations?
As a registered user, you have access to job recommendations based on jobs you’ve applied to through Voolkan in the past. The more jobs you apply to, the smarter Voolkan gets, and the better your recommendations become! Some of your most-recent recommendations will appear on the main page (to the far left) every time you log in to Voolkan. To view your full list of recommendations, log in to Voolkan and click on "My Account" at the left or bottom of the page (or "control panel" at the upper right). Within your control panel, your current job recommendations are listed beneath your previous applications. You need to apply to jobs to get recommendations, so send out a few applications and see how Voolkan matches you up!

1f. How do I change my personal information?
If you need to update your name or address, or change your email or password, simply log in to Voolkan and click "My Account" at the left or bottom of the page (or "control panel" at the upper right). In your control panel, your current personal information is listed on the right-hand side of the page, along with a link that reads "Update information." Simply click this link and adjust any fields as necessary!

2a. How do I register for a business account?

To register for a business account, click on "Register" on the left or bottom of the screen. Select "business" as your account type (to post job listings), then fill out the corresponding form and click "submit." Your account should now be active!

2b. How do I add a job listing?
Adding a job listing to Voolkan is simple! Log in to Voolkan and click on "Post a Job" on the left-hand side (or at the bottom) of the page. From the Post a Job page, fill out all the information for your listing, and select which options you want for applicant processing, then submit the form. On the Billing page, fill out any payment information necessary (if required) and submit this form. Your listing should then be processed automatically and added to Voolkan’s databases within seconds!

2c. How do I view my job listing statistics?
To see the number of times each of your listings has been viewed, along with other invaluable statistics, simply log in to Voolkan and click on "My Account" at the left or bottom of the page (or "control panel" at the upper right). From your control panel page you can see all your open (and many of your recently-closed) job listings. Click any job title to view its statistics, which will be listed below the job description.

2d. How do I change my business information?
If you need to update your organization’s name, address or description, or change your email or password, simply log in to Voolkan and click "My Account" at the left or bottom of the page (or "control panel" at the upper right). In your control panel, your current business information is listed on the right-hand side of the page, along with a link that reads "Update information." Simply click this link and adjust any fields as necessary!

2e. How do I post a job listing in a different location?
If your company's location is different from the location of the job you want to list, you can change it during the posting process. When posting a job, your company's location is displayed below the job description, duties and requirements text boxes. Click the "edit" link listed next to it and adjust the state, region, and subregion to wherever you want the job listing posted. This will only affect the current posting; the location in your account information will remain unchanged.

2f. How long will my job remain listed?
Jobs will remain listed in our system for 90 days. You may close one of your listings early by logging into Voolkan, visiting the job listing's page and clicking "close listing" at the bottom. If your ad expires after 90 days and you haven't filled the position yet, feel free to relist it until you find the right candidate!

2g. What are the benefits of using the Voolkan widget?
The Voolkan widget is a great tool for businesses of all sizes that allows visitors to your website to instantly recognize that you have positions open within the company, and allows them to apply to any and all of your job postings with ease--the entire application process is handled by Voolkan, all you need to do is add the button to your website! Upon clicking the button, visitors are linked to Voolkan, where all of your job postings--and only your job listings--are listed. After submitting the application, the visitor is then sent back to your website. It also keeps track of additional statistics.

2h. How do I add the Voolkan widget to my website?
To add the widget to your website you must have a registered Voolkan business account. Log in to Voolkan and click on "My Account" at the bottom of the page (or "control panel" at the upper right). In your control panel is a link that reads "Get Your Button." Simply click this link and follow the online instructions! Copy the code that's automatically generated for you and paste it into your website's index page for optimum results. That's it!

2i. Do you charge for listings?
In many areas, job listings are absolutely free. In certain cases, Voolkan does charge a minimal fee on a per-listing basis, due to server demand and a number of other factors. Fees are recalculated on a weekly basis.

2j. What types of payment do you accept?
Should your listing require a fee to be processed, Voolkan will accept payment by credit card, PayPal and Google Checkout. All payments are encrypted and processed safely through our secure server.

2k. Why was my listing closed?
Listings are routinely monitored by moderators and closed when they contain inappropriate content or are otherwise not permitted due to suspected fraudulence or because they did not conform to the "permitted listings" guidelines, as described below.

2l. What kinds of listings are/aren't permitted?
In general, most job listings are permitted, as long as they are legal, legitimate, and contain complete and accurate information (including the name, location, and other information regarding the company hiring). Listings that illegally give preference based on race, sex, age, or other qualifications as outlawed by federal, state, or local laws are not permitted. "Work from home" and other dubious job listings will be removed. Clearly-fraudulent "commission-only" job listings will be removed. Voolkan reserves the right to close any listing on its site at any time and for any reason at its own discretion.

2m. Why was my account suspended?
There is a "3-strike" rule for closed posts, meaning if three or more of your job listings are closed, your account may be permanently banned from the Voolkan website.
